Backer's Audition: Backer's Audition ran on the third Thursday of each month from September through December '07. The evening is hosted by Kip Tipling (Adams), the famous Broadway producer, who is looking to produce a brand-new production. He has invited his wealthy financial backers (the audience) to the theater to show them scenes from never-before-written plays (titles from the audience). After viewing these scenes, the one that the audience votes on is the one that is turned into a 45-minute play in Act II.
